Even someone who has plenty of money acts like you should give up things like video games and socialising once you have children. I know a few people in my who act like you have to give up any personal interests just because you have kids.

U as my free game because the Mrs wanted to play it… I’m absolutely gutted because I should have got Pikmin 3 or Zelda.Īnyways, I’d love some friends. I did however make a terrible mistake, I chose Super Mario Bros. It looks good, plays great and I adore the action replays at the end of each race. Me and the Mrs stayed up all night playing it, it’s a genuine delight to play. To all those new Wii U owners a warm hello. Since Mario Kart has been released I have noticed how poor the GamePad’s battery life is, it is only rivalled by the PlayStation 4 controller’s terrible battery life and stupidly short USB leads. Those world record lap times are just ridiculous!Īs an early adopter of the Wii U and relatively recent PlayStation 4 owner, I’m getting an odd sense of déjà vu with the PlayStation 4: no new games, a lot of indie fillers, and a sense that this time next year everyone will be raving about the PlayStation 4 in the same way we all seem to be re-engaging with our Wii Us. My friends list has jumped from 8 to 50 in a matter of weeks, adds a whole new dimension to the time trials.

Most evenings it is easy to check who is playing online and jump into an active lobby. I just wanted to heap praise on the GC community for the obscene amount of fun I am having racing everyone on Mario Kart 8. Paramount Digital Entertainment own the parent licence but they only seem interested in smartphone games. None have released any new game in a while though, so some or all could have given up by now.

Namco Bandai has the movie licence, Bethesda has the TV licence, and Perfect World has the MMO licence. Like many big properties the Star Trek licence is shared across various companies.

Sports Interactive used to pretend that home consoles lack the horsepower to run Football Manager, but that’s clearly not true any more – especially given the PSP and PS Vita versions. GC: Good questions, to which there are no satisfactory answers. Who owns the official Star Trek licence for games and why don’t they make a Star Trek game like Mass Effect/Fallout?! When/if are they ever going to release Football Manager on PlayStation 3 or 4? GC: It wasn’t great being paid to play Declassified, it’s absolutely awful.

I also played Call Of Duty: Black Ops – Declassified multiplayer at work… it’s great being paid to play games, isn’t it? Can I have a job at GC Towers? My qualifications are I’m good at writing and video games and once beat a monkey in a fight. Was I in for a shock! This seemed even better than it was fifteen years ago! Fast, frenetic and eminently playable… I usually hate beat ’em-ups, but this just transcends the genre, why hasn’t there been a Power Stone 3? I would say it’s because the first sequel took everything good about the first one and turned it up to 11, but it’s probably because they only sold about six copies. I recently bought a PlayStation Vita and downloaded Power Stone Collection, expecting to be slightly disappointed as I usually am by ‘nostalgia’ games (I also downloaded Star Wars: Battlefront II, only to find it unplayable now due to a wonky control system). Although saying that I agree with the majority opinion that all the companies did well. I have to say Microsoft did impress me at E3 and for once made me glad I plumped (a little rashly I’ll admit) for an Xbox One.
